Brio Pharma Technologies was conceptualized & founded by Mr. Shubham Mishra in the year 2003 after an illustrious career working with various industries for a decade. An engineer by profession, he carries with him rich experience in sales, marketing & business development for hi-tech industrial machinery and automation projects. Thus for over two decades, he has made a distinct impression amongst the life science/pharma/packaging /energy conversion and conservation domain in India and across the board. Shubham, a dynamic entrepreneur, believes in "Dare to Dream" philosophy and relentlessly drives Brio team to realize the dreams. He has been steering the group to achieve success and providing direction to lead the way to a promising, potential and filled future.

Venkatesh Sankaran

VENKATESH SANKARAN, 54 yrs of age, is a graduate in Commerce and a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1985. He has an all-around experience of over 3 decades working in various industries. After an initial stint of 5 years in Mumbai, he took up an international assignment in 1990 as Financial Controller, in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman for 7 yrs. On his return back to Mumbai, he joined Monsanto India Ltd in 1996, an American Multinational, as Business Controller for 3 years and then Financial Controller for 4 years.

Later he joined Bayer India Ltd in 2003, a German Chemical company, as Head of Controlling and after a spin-off in 2004, moved to LANXESS India Private Limited, as a Director and Chief financial officer until April 2013. He was also the Executive Director of LANXESS ABS Ltd for few years.His responsibilities and strategic areas of operations have been in Accounting & Audit, Treasury, Taxation, Budgeting & Reporting, Project management, mergers & acquisitions. He has been a part of the strategic team providing guidance to the management team in its pursuit of achieving long-term strategic goals.

Satish Kane

A seasoned professional with over 3 decades of hands on experience in various aspects of industrial product marketing including market & profiling, application development, sales & marketing, business strategy planning and implementation, product launch promotion and distribution. With several achievement to his credit and thorough insights into packaging machinery, automation and integration, packaging material conversion technology. He is advising Brio group for business growth planning, augmentation and capacity development.

Madan Joshi


He is an Ex Managing Director – Capsugel Healthcare Ltd., a Division of Pfizer and an Ex-Director- Operations with Pfizer, Pharmacist by training from Bombay University. He has total 37 years of experience in Pharma Industry and has worked in all departments of a pharmaceutical company.
" May & Baker" as an Apprentice and then held various positions of increasing responsibility during his tenure with Indo Pharma pharmaceutical works Ltd., Zandu Pharmaceutical works Ltd. before joining Pfizer as a "Plant Manager". Later he was designated as "Director Operations" and then was appointed as the " Managing Director" of a Division of Pfizer- called "Capsugel Healthcare Ltd."
Mr. M. M. Joshi had an opportunity of setting up the Green Field facility for Zandu Pharma at Talasari, in Maharashtra and putting it up in operation through very fierce labor situation and was successful in getting WHO certification for that facility for Herbal products.
He was nominated for a "Global leadership Program" in the USA by Pfizer, wherein had an opportunity to interact with top world leaders and officials from International Monitory Fund( IMF), World Reserve Bank, United Nations, Ford and Rockefeller Foundation etc.
Mr. Joshi was President of a chapter of "Indian Pharmaceutical Association" ( IPA) and is a member of International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) and has passion for Environment, Health and Safety and has worked with an American company as Environment, Health and Safety Leader for Asia Pacific, about " Continuous Improvement" ,Leadership Development, Project Management , Colleague Engagement etc.
He has successfully handled," Training & Development" and "Human Resources Management" with a certified " Total Quality Management" trainer. He has handled very tough situations in Industrial Relations for harmonization.
Mr. joshi strongly believes in and nurtures the value – " Respect for People"



Dr.MakJawadekar was formerly a Director, Portfolio Management & Analytics, Pfizer, Inc. at Groton-New London, CT. In the recent past, he was responsible for Benchmarking R & D Portfolio for Pfizer, working with Benchmarking Forums (CMR/KMR), Drug Delivery Technology Assessment function involving external 'Drug Delivery' technologies. He has extensive experience in creating and cultivating external partnerships and alliances for drug delivery technologies for Pfizer Global R & D. He began his professional career at Pfizer Central Research in early 1982, after having completed his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics at the University of Minnesota.He has continuous twenty-eight plus years of experience with Pfizer Inc. (Includes R & D and Worldwide Pharmaceutical organization). R & D areas include heading Solids R&D, Drug Product formulation/ Dosage Form/ Drug Delivery research & development, Clinical Trials Supply Manufacturing and Packaging, Scale-up and Technology Transfer as well as Pharmacy (CMC) areas. He managed several functions/groups within Pharmaceutical R&D for many years. In the recent past, he had been also been engaged in creating new alliances, JVs, partnerships and M& A of companies with Pharmaceutical manufacturing, R & D activities with external partners/service providers. He was presented with the "M.L. Khorana Memorial Lecture of the Year Award" at the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress held in New Delhi, India, in December 2001 for his Presentation on 'Advances in Drug Development and Delivery Systems with a Focus on Protection of Intellectual Property Rights'. He has presented at many professional meetings and has participated in various Panel Discussions/Round Tables. He was one of the invited guests for a 'Leadership Summit' held by the President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam in 2003. He was also one of the invitees to join President George W. Bush's trade delegation to India in March 2006. During December 2007, Mak accompanied Dr. John LaMattina (former Pfizer President) to India on his official trip to India, where President of India, Mrs. PratibhaPatil invited both of them to the President's Palace (Rashtrapati Bhavan) in New Delhi. He also recently accompanied Pfizer R & D President Dr. Martin Mackay during Feb 2009 to India for participating in Bio Asia 2009.He served as a Vice president of Asia CRG at Pfizer Inc. He recently (Feb 2011) received an honorary Doctorate from DYP Mumbai University.He also serves on the prestigious global "Judging Panel"/ Executive Review Board instituted by IBC/ InformaPharma Group for their Annual Pharmaceutical Annual Achievement Awards, as well as European Outsourcing Awards by Via-Media Ltd.He currently serves as a member of the Editorial boards for 'Bio/Pharmaceutical Outsourcing Report' as well as for "Contract Pharma" a monthly publication. He also is on the Editorial Advisory Board for monthly publication namely, "Pharmaceutical Technology Europe".

Sachin Itkar

Mr. Itkar is a graduate pharmacist and a postgraduate with distinction, in management studies, M.Phil degree in Intellectual Property Management & MSc in Healthcare & Hospital Administration. He has undergone executive development programmes in leadership & strategic planning in India & abroad in renowned business schools.
In a short spanning industrial career, he has many accolades and achievements to his credit. Apart from being successful in corporate sector he is also actively involved in social, education activities and is working on advisory boards, governing councils of quiet a few institutes from these sectors. He actively writes articles on social and education issues and concerns.
He works closely with Strategic Foresight Group (SFG), is a think - tank engaged in crafting new policy concepts that enable decision makers to prepare for a future in uncertain times. Founded in 2002 to create new forms of intellectual capital, SFG work today encompasses over 50 countries, across four continents.. He is actively engaged in research on subjects like IPR, developmental economics and inclusive growth.
He was instrumental in organizing first Indo – US Education Conclave in Pune, India in December 2011 wherein 25 state legislators from United States, 28 US Universities & over 300 Indian Universities/Institutes participated. This was jointly organized by AUSIB (Alliance for US India Business), SLLF (State Legislative Leaders Foundation) & Dr. D Y Patil University, Pune. He was the convener of this unique education conclave.
He has delivered presentations & was a keynote speaker in various forums represented by industry, regulatory, university departments & educational institutes on topics related to WTO (World Trade Organization), IPR (Intellectual Property Rights), Drug regulations, Clinical Trials Management and Issues & Concerns of Pharmaceutical Industry at national & international conferences/symposia. He is a recipient of the 'Young Achievers Award' for the year 2006 instituted by University of Pune (Management Department), special appreciation award 'Maharashtra – 50' in the youth category for contribution in socio-education activities & prestigious National Brotherhood Award for the year 2010. He has authored four books, on 'Forensic Pharmacy' on 'Pharmaceutical Management' on 'Drug Regulatory Affairs' and on 'Essentials of Clinical Research' which have received wide acclaim from the industry & academia.
He holds five patents to his credit in the area of Pharmaceutical Technology.
